Sunbelt Software (USA) discovered this site on March 21 and immediately notified eBay. A spokesman for the online auction company said it had partnered with the local Internet service provider to close the website. However, she did not disclose how many accounts were sold and which customers became victims. That address also provides some information of PayPal online payment system.
This website sells accounts that are not logged in regularly, meaning users will not be able to detect unusual behavior in their transactions soon. Account prices range from 5 USD - 25 USD. The Whois test shows the website registration date is December 2, 2015, said to belong to a company in Cypress, California (USA).
Alex Eckelberry, President of Sunbelt, identified the site as probably gathering data through phishing attacks or using a Trojan containing a keystroke software (keylog). He also affirmed that the sale of such information has become relatively popular.
