Egypt: successful surgery first conjoined twins

According to Egyptian state news agency MENA, Egyptian doctors yesterday, on November 18, successfully operated a conjoined twins at a public hospital in Cairo.
The news agency quoted Health Minister Hatem el-Gabali as saying that the surgery of the conjoined 10-month-old twins took place at Ahmed Maher Hospital, one of the oldest hospitals in Cairo.
This is the first successful detached surgery performed by Egyptian hospitals.According to Minister Gabali, details of this surgery will be announced at a press conference next Monday.
