Environmentally friendly home
On October 26, Spain's Altran Innovation Support Fund introduced a model of housing with mainly bamboo construction materials that can absorb CO 2 emissions naturally.
This is the project that won the Altran Foundation's 2008 Innovation Award, with two key points to reduce CO2 emissions into the environment and open business opportunities for available tropical countries " animals. " This green material ".

The inventor of this technology, Francisco Gallo, says the key point of the project is to turn bamboo into a moldable material and then mold it into sheets that can be assembled into a home.
The first building in the above model will be built in the city of Pereira in Colombia in mid-2010. The initial cost of bamboo apartments may be higher than that of a similar apartment in concrete. However, this difference will be reduced thanks to bamboo houses that allow energy savings, while in the long run costs will decrease once new materials are produced on a large scale.
