Extremely simple tips to speed up old iPhones you should know

Users do not need to spend money to buy a new phone or replace the battery but can still speed up their old phone with these two simple ways.

Every phone after a period of use will slow down significantly. Their performance is no longer as good as before. This greatly affects the user experience. Many people feel uncomfortable having to wait too long just for their smartphone to run applications, download websites or update software.

Instead of changing to a new phone or spending money on replacing hardware, users just need to change the following simple settings to improve the speed of their smartphone.

According to technology expert Krizza Buendia of Euphoric View, background app refresh is a useful feature that helps content in apps running in the background be continuously updated even when the user is using it. This feature helps them switch between applications easily without having to wait for them to reload.

'However, it will waste battery power, consume system capacity and slow down phone performance ,' the expert said. To fix this situation, users just need to turn off the automatic background app refresh setting.

'Then you'll notice dramatically improved battery life and performance ,' Buendia said. These apps still run in the background but only refresh content when the user reopens the app, instead of continuously updating.

For iPhone, go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh , then scroll down to find the app you want to turn off this feature.

With Android smartphones, users go to Settings > Connections > Data Usage > Mobile data usage. Here, select and find the app you want to turn off background data refresh.

Expert Buendia also noted that users should regularly check the applications installed on the iPhone and delete apps that are no longer in use to free up memory space and system resources.

Next, after turning off background app refresh, users should pay attention to the applications that are open on the phone.

'If you open many tabs at the same time on your computer, you will easily notice that the waiting time for each task will be extended. This is also true for smartphones. If you use too many applications at the same time, the phone memory will be full, causing the device to respond more slowly ,' shared developer Abdul Saboor at The Stock Dork.

According to him, deleting applications running in the background will help the smartphone run faster. Users just need to swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause for a few seconds in the middle of the screen to enter multitasking. Here, drag the application tabs up to delete them if not in use.
