The treatment membrane is white with a thickness of 0.5mm, and has many different sizes depending on the requirements of use such as 10 × 10 cm, 15 × 10 cm, 20 × 10 cm.

This biofilm can be stored in normal environment for several years.

In the case of severe burns, open wounds should be used to shield the wound from the wound, limiting infection by exposure to the external environment.

People use biofilms to prevent complications of wound burns, facilitating early covering of the wound. Thereby, shortening treatment time and minimizing bad scars on deep burn area.

This composition of the research group has high water permeability, the ability to bind tightly and chemically inert so it acts as a biological membrane, can replace temporary skin.

According to MSc. Huynh Thi Ngoc Lan, a member of the research team, has this biological treatment membrane for tissue regeneration and antiseptic substances of all natural origin.

Therefore, it does not contain risk factors such as no direct toxin, no allergy, no pathogens, no release of foreign substances into the wound.

Membranes capable of killing 100% of bacteria often cause infections of open wounds such as burns, or lost wounds. Just apply the membrane to the wound and do not need to use anything else, the membrane has the ability to resist bacteria, and, at the same time, heals wounds by promoting granulation tissue regeneration.

So far, during the study of biofilm treatment of burns, the team has built about 1,000 membranes.

These membranes are currently being tested at the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City to observe the healing speed of the wound, resistance to infection, and the degree of skin irritation .

Currently, most types of open wound diaphragm must be imported, with prices from 15,000 to 30,000 VND / piece. The research team hopes that domestic biofilm production can help burn sufferers reduce treatment costs.
