Phenomenon Manhattanhenge

Dozens of people gathered at the corner of 6th and 14th Avenue in New York, taking photos of the red sun slowly descending at the foot of high-rise buildings.

The whole Manhattanhenge phenomenon occurs only twice in the summer at the northernmost hemisphere, taking place in May and July, and the Manhattanhenge phenomenon will partially occur on Thursday.

This phenomenon also occurs in the winter, but often the setting of the setting sun will be obscured by bad weather.

Manhattanhenge was named after Stonehenge, a large rock complex formed from prehistoric South England.

The sun passes through the central intersection of Stonehenge on winter solstice and summer solstice, making historians believe it was built to observe astronomy.
