Find a more effective TB vaccine

UK scientists have discovered a protein that can be used to make a more effective anti-tuberculosis vaccine than the one currently used.

The research team at Imperial College London found a new protein called EspC. This protein responds to strong immunity and resistance to Mycobacterium tuberculosis effectively.

Therefore, EspC has the prospect of creating a new TB vaccine, which can stimulate the immune system wider and stronger than the BCG tuberculosis vaccine.
