Use vaccine to treat herpes genital herpes

Herpes is a disease that has no cure, as well as no effective prevention. This disease is spread through sexual contact.

Yale researchers have developed a new vaccine that can fight Herpes (genital herpes) and many other diseases such as early HIV disease.

So far, people often develop vaccines, focusing on the immune systems of antibodies, also known as T cells. When T cells encounter viruses or bacteria, they will recognize the "intruders." ' This creates antibodies against them. However, with some organs such as the vagina, intestines, lungs or central nervous system, these T cells are inaccessible.

In search of an alternative method, Yale University scientists focused on peripheral tissues of the female genital tract. The problem is how to insert T-cells into the vaginal lining without causing a harmful immune reaction.

Research on rats, scientists have found a two-part vaccine cure method, called the 'prime and Pull' method . The 'Prime' stage is the vaccination phase to produce a T cell response. The 'Pull' phase directs T cells into the tissues of the genitals, through local injection of Chemokines, one Substance helps immune cells move.

They found that T cells could stay in the body and create immunity against Herpes disease by blocking the spread of the Herpes virus to sensory neutrons.

The method used for this vaccine can be applied to all vaccines that help promote T cell immunity, help fight infections.
