Find animal fossils that have them with dinosaurs

US and German scientists have reported discovering fossils of an animal with a family of dinosaurs that existed 243 million years ago.

This is considered to be the oldest known creature that is related to dinosaurs.

Fossils were found during the excavation of an archaeological site in southern Tanzania.

Asilisaurus species kongwe .

This 4-legged animal, 1 meter tall and 3 meters long, has the scientific name Asilisaurus kongwe belongs to the Silesaur family and looks very similar to a prehistoric dinosaur.

This new discovery surprises archaeologists because many theories have suggested that the earliest dinosaur relatives could be two-legged carnivores. This animal's teeth have triangles and mines like lizards that show they can eat both plants and meat.

Scientists say Silesaur and dinosaurs coexisted during the Triassic period about 250 million to 200 million years ago.

Fossils are found to be about 10 million years older than the oldest known dinosaur. This means Silesaur and dinosaurs separated from a common ancestor 245 million years ago.

American and German archaeologists argue that their discovery means other dinosaur "cousins", such as "winged pterosaurs" and "small lagerpetid" that originated much earlier than fake ones. Previous theory of scientists.

Also according to the archaeological group, there are at least three evolutiones between their dinosaurs and their closest relatives, to transform from carnivorous animals into animals that only eat plants.

This archaeological group thinks their findings are important, helping scientists understand more about the Triassic period, as well as understanding the origins of dinosaurs and other animals.
