Discover fossils 2 new hunting dinosaurs
2 new predatory dinosaurs have been identified from fossils found in Thailand.
The scientific name of the two new species is Phuwiangvenator yaemniyomi and Vayuraptor nongbualamphuensis . They lived on Earth about 125 million years ago (the Cretaceous period). The fossil record is found in Thailand's Sao Khua Formation .

Both of these ancient species belong to a group of medium to large dinosaurs with long, large claws.
The 'relatives' of this group of carnivorous dinosaurs are the tyrant dinosaurs, researcher Adun Samathi from Bonn University and colleagues said.
Like T. rex, two newly discovered dinosaurs often run on their hind legs. However, unlike tyrants, their arms are strong and equipped with long claws. They also have more delicate heads and long snout.
Phuwiangvenator yaemniyomi is able to run very fast with a length of about 6m, this dinosaur is significantly smaller than T. rex. Meanwhile, Vayuraptor nongbualamphuenisis is about 4.5 m long.
'If Phuwiangvenator yaemniyomi is a lion, Vayuraptor nongbualamphuenisis will be a leopard. We compared the fossils of Thailand with the findings there. Different characteristics of Phuwiangvenator yaemniyomi pointed out that it was an early representative of this group. We consider this a sign that the predatory dinosaurs originated in Southeast Asia and then spread to other areas, ' said researcher Sam Samathi.
