Find the mysterious crypt of Pharaoh Seti I
Egyptian archaeologists have successfully unearthed an unfinished tunnel of the ancient people, linked to a Pharaoh Sati I tomb dating back 3,300 years at a secret burial site.
Zahi Hawass, archaeological team leader said: 'It took us three years to excavate the 174-meter-long tunnel in the magnificent crypt of Pharaoh Sati I, located south of the Valley of Kings. According to the survey, this long tunnel project was not completed when the Egyptian king died.
This tunnel was discovered in 1960. But until now, all its traces have been discovered with the collection of many figurines, pottery pieces and other works of ancient architects. .
Mr. Zahi in the tunnel area is excavating.
Zahi added: 'On the fake door at the beginning of the tunnel, there is an inscription on it saying' move the door beam to make the path wider. This writing follows the way of the monks, who helped effectively Pharaohs at that time. Inside the tunnel, the original decorating plan was carried out '.
Pharaoh Seti I, reigning from 1314 to 1304 BC, was one of the founders of the new 19th-Empire dynasty. This is considered the peak period in terms of Egyptian military forces, making it a powerful nation. The king's tomb is quite famous for its colorful wall decorations.
Finding the tunnel and grave in the middle of it, there are further instructions to make archaeologists wonder. Zahi currently only makes the hypothesis, the tunnel and the secret tomb still unfinished because of the early death of Pharaoh Sati. However, the show style shows the same structure as the tomb of King Ramses II-son Sati I.
