Biologist Dr. David Penney said that fossil was found in amber in the Baltic Sea. This fossil is very small, its length is less than 0.2mm. And this is considered one of the most rare fossils today.
Penny told the BBC : "Currently, only a CT scan can help us investigate very small parts of the spider beneath the Baltic amber."
After research, scientists believe that fossil is likely to break the record of the oldest age in the Histiostomatidae family. It is also the smallest fossil on the planet today.
