This discovery will allow us to better understand the reproductive form of the Alvaresauridos , one of the most mysteriously known dinosaurs ever.

Dr. Fernando Novas, of the Argentine Natural Science Museum and one of the main authors of the discovery, said: The Alvaresauridos related to the Velociraptores and Tiranosaurios dinosaurs, lived in the late Cretaceous period This is 70-80 million years ago.

Unlike his wild relatives, Alvarezsauridos is about the size of an ostrich with very long necks and small heads, characteristics that show this species eats fruit and insects.

What is of interest to the researchers is that the hand of this species is extremely short with complex structures of joints and a big thumb. Large breasts with strong muscles.

For his part, Professor Martín Kudrat, of the Upsala University of Switzerland, explained that the eggs were found right next to the pelvic bones of the skeleton.

He and his colleagues tried to find traces of a nest, but did not detect it and did not detect embryos inside the egg with a scanner. And so it is more likely that this is the fossil of a female carrying an egg in her belly when she dies.

Scientists named the dinosaur, with the fossil skeleton found on it, Bonapartenykus ultimus , in honor of Dr. José Bonaparte, who discovered the first fossil of Alvarezsaurido in 1991 at Patagonia.

José Bonaparte was the first to name this dinosaur in honor of the Argentine historian, Gregorio Álvarez.

The first fossils of this mysterious dinosaur were found in the Gobi desert of Mongolia in 1921.
