Firefox accounts for 30% of the European browser market
Europe is really a 'fortress' of Firefox. The market share of this open source browser in Europe has now doubled its market share in the US market.
According to statistics from XiTiMonitor so far, Firefox currently accounts for 27.8% of the European browser market share, up 3% from the March figures.
The market leader is still Microsoft's Internet Explorer with 66.5% market share. Standing in the following positions are Opera, Safari and Netscape with a market share of 3.5%, 1.7% and 0.3%.
To get the above statistics, XiTiMonitor surveyed a total of 96,000 websites in 32 European countries - from Ireland, Ukranie, Finland to Greece .
Slovenia, Finland and Slovakia are among the highest percentage of Firefox users in the region. Firefox accounted for 47.9% market share of Slovenia, 45.4% of Finland market and 40.4% of Slovakia market.
Overall in the global market, Firefox currently accounts for about 14.55% of the market share - an increase of 0.5% compared to the March statistics. Show Firefox's market share on most regions showed trends. go up.
