Mozilla tested the new Firefox browser

Picture 1 of Mozilla tested the new Firefox browser The Mozilla Foundation has released a test version of the next generation Firefox browser with many new innovative features such as pop-up blocking, enhanced support for Web standards and more streamlined navigation.

Currently, Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Release " Candidate 1 " has begun to appear on Mozilla's website so that trial users can make final repairs before the final release is released. Mozilla also recommends that this version only be released for testing purposes, not for end users. Those who do not want to download Mozilla Firefox 1.5 for the purpose of " see how it works " should continue to be loyal to the current version of 1.0.

As expected, Firefox 1.5 will release the final version before 2006, after another test version (the plan is also in November), if " candidate 1 " generates positive feedback.

New features

The next generation of Firefox features include a "better" software update system, faster navigation thanks to the "Back" and "Forward" tab tabs, along with the designed Options / Preferences window. Again, allowing you to add new catagory icons, and move them from the left side of the window to the top.

In addition, Firefox 1.5 also supports many new Web standards, supporting SVG ( Scalable Vector Graphics ), JavaScript 1.6 and CSS ( Cascading Style Sheets ). SVG is an XML-based language for writing complex two-dimensional graphics applications, while JavaScript is the latest version of the Java language. CSS is the standard of the World Wide Web Consortium in adding font elements, colors and spaces in web documents.

And yet, Firefox 1.5 also has improved DHTML access and better Mac OS X support. (DHTML is a language extending from HTML, uses JavaSript and style Sheets to nest small graphics and dynamic menus into web pages).

Recently, Firefox quickly gained market share and emerged as an alternative to Microsoft's IE browser. Particularly in October, the number of downloads of this browser has reached 100 million.
