Mozilla launches Firefox 2.0 Beta 2 browser version
Yesterday (August 31), Mozilla will announce the Firefox 2 Beta 2 version after months of delay for developers to have more time to find and patch.
Mozilla said users who have run the previous version of Firefox 2.0 (Beta 1) will be automatically upgraded to Beta 2 through the update function in the browser. Previously, users had to download the entire installation to reinstall the new browser.
It should have been Firefox Beta 2 a long time ago if it hadn't been postponed several times before the concern that the browser still had many unrecognized vulnerabilities.
Also with Mozilla, Microsoft last week released the next version of Internet Explorer 7 - Release Candidate 1 (RC1). Both Microsoft and Mozilla have announced they will launch the final browser version (the final version) later this year.
