Forest fires in Algeria
About 55 hectares of forest and fruit trees were caught in the sea of wildfire on September 2 in Tzarifet, near Tlemcen, the border area of Algeria - Morocco.
According to the local government, although it was conquered in the evening of September 2, the forest fire did not identify this cause 55 ha of forest and fruit trees became dry firewood. The government said more than 550 hectares of forest were destroyed in Tlemcen within the past week. Forest fires from early summer to now in Algeria have made at least eight people dead and more than 20,000 hectares of crops and forests destroyed.
