Found a fossil dinosaur fossil
German scientists on July 2 said they found the fossil of a feathered immature dinosaur. This may be the earliest evidence of carnivorous dinosaurs that have no close relationship with birds.
Traces of dinosaur fossils covered with feathers.
Scientists believe that this fossil is of a terrestrial dinosaur from the end of the Jurassic period, 170 million years ago, and confirmed that the fossil of the Megalosauroid dinosaur belongs to this large genus Sciurumimus. Adult Megalosauroid dinosaurs can reach 9m long and weigh 1 ton.
The immature dinosaur fossil, the open jaw, and the long, long-tipped arched tail are discovered at the limestone quarry in the state of Bavaria, southeastern Germany. Fossils show that the animal has a large skull, its hind legs short and its fur covered all over its body.
Earlier this year, Chinese paleontologists said they had discovered a strange giant dinosaur with feathers, about the size of a car. Fossil specimens were identified in the middle of the Cretaceous, 125 million years ago, the peak of the dinosaurs that dominated the planet.
