Found a thousand-year-old beef soup in a tomb

After excavating the ancient pots at a tomb dating back thousands of years in China, archaeologists were surprised to find that there were traces of "beef soup" in the pot.

According to China Daily, Chinese archaeologists have recently unearthed some of the ancient cooking pots in Ha Nam province. This grave is believed to have existed since the Warring States Period (475 - 221 BC).

In particular, in these pots, scientists also discovered traces of a dish quite similar to beef soup because the bone remains in the pot is the front limb bones of cattle. However, it is still not clear whether these bones were alive or cooked at the time.

According to Wu Chi Jiang, who was in charge of excavating the tomb, "The tombs of that time often had bones of cows, sheep, and pigs because these animals were placed in the tomb of the dead before being buried as a sacrifice.
