FPT University opened its first course

Yesterday morning, FPT University officially opened and opened the first course with 300 students. 44 scholarships totaling half a million US dollars are awarded to outstanding students. At the ceremony, representatives of FPT University signed a training cooperation with IBM Corporation.

Specifically, IBM will train lecturers and support a part of fees for FPT University students. In return, the school will use IBM's curriculum and curriculum, bringing its technology into teaching content, recognizing IBM's professional certifications .

Also in the morning, FPT University opened the first course with 10 specialized software engineering classes. 2/3 of the first year is studying English. Japanese and specialized subjects will be taught from the 2nd year. Internship programs at software companies start from the 3rd year.

FPT University leaders said that more than 50% of the 300 students passed from other schools. There are even students in the 3rd and 4th year. On this occasion, representatives of BIDV Bank also awarded nearly 80 tuition credit loans with a total value of over 600 thousand USD for poor students, with Good academic results.

According to Principal Le Truong Tung, FPT University is requesting MOET to allow enrollment for 3 times each year (April, August and December). If allowed, in April, FPT University will continue to recruit 500 students. As planned, in 2007, the school will recruit a total of 1,500 students.
