"The small F-1 satellite will be launched on July 21 thanks to the HII-B boosters of the Japan Aerospace Research and Development Agency (JAXA)," said Vu Trong Thu, FSpace Manager for know. The assessment of the flight safety of the F-1 is about to end and the FSpace team and partners have met the technical and standard requirements given by the rocket manager.

Under the plan, the F-1 will be transferred to Japan later this month to gather together with 4 other small satellites that share the boosters are RAIKO, FITSAT-1, WE WISH and TechEdSat. These satellites will be assembled on the HTV-3 transport ship and placed on JAXA's HII-B rocket to prepare for launch.

The small satellite F-1 measures 10x10x10cm and weighs 1kg. Satellite by FSpace team started to research and manufacture since the end of 2008, with the goal of "living" in space and signaling the earth control station, capturing low-resolution images (640x480 ) of the earth and satellite data transfer speeds reach 1,200 bits per second.

If these requirements are fulfilled, the new satellite will be tested with more complex features such as 3-axis SDTM magnetic field sensor testing, SMS message transfer functionality and some new features of the software. satellite control.

In the world, satellite manufacturing has been very developed, but for Vietnam is still a new field. Experts said, if successful, FPT will become the first private enterprise in the country to successfully build small satellites, opening up the direction of Vietnam's science and space industry.

On the occasion of the preparation of the F-1 satellite to be launched into orbit, the FSpace team offers an opportunity for every person to send names and messages to the universe at http://fspace.edu.vn/?page_id=31&lang = vi. This information will be written to a microSD memory card and attached to the F-1 before being sent.

This work is symbolic, with the desire to bring joy, hope to the future for those who participate and convey the message of the youth of Vietnam: "The space is not too far away, people are fully capable of doing things that seem impossible if they are determined " . There are nearly 4,000 people from many parts of the world participating in the dream, hoping to fly with F-1.

Last month, during a visit to the FSpace Space Laboratory, the National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Committee appreciated the F-1 satellite."I am really impressed by the fact that FSpace has set foot in the field of research with the young people who are still very young. Up to now, I see that the universe and Vietnam's mastery of space are not far away. " Mr. Nguyen Dang Vang, Deputy Chairman of the Committee stressed.

Mr. Vang assessed, the significance of F-1 satellite implementation is very valuable, especially in the field of ship monitoring and forest fire prevention. Meanwhile, Mr. Phan Xuan Dung, Chairman of the Committee believes this project will be successful."More importantly, it is still the passion of youth associated with national love. Because F-1's success will help protect national security," Dung said.
