"When I arrived at the beach, I noticed that the horizon looked strange," recalled Mr. Nimerfroh, who uploaded the photo to Instragram account on February 25.
"Climbing the sand dune, I saw about 300 meters from the coast to sea, the water started to freeze . "Low temperatures cause sea water to freeze, forming high waves of 0.5 to 1m.
"The next day, I came again to see if the water was melting, but everything was the same. The ice was still there," Mr. Nimerfroh said.
"I asked fishermen and surfers whether they had ever seen such a thing. They all answered yet . "The United States has been experiencing a cold spell for a few weeks now.In North America, the Niagra River freezes with a heat background of -14 degrees Celsius, creating amazing glaciers.
In the picture are the strange waves that Mr. Nimerfroh captured. This type of ice is not ice, but a form of ice crystals and liquid water (which occurs when the ice melts).
