If approved by the mayor of London, Siemens will manufacture and assemble a new £ 1m (£ 1m) subway car.
Inspiro has the advantage of 30% energy savings and 20% lighter weight than current models.
The cars are illuminated by LED lights, with radiant air conditioning systems, and can accommodate up to 30% more than older London Underground trains, according to The Evening Standard.
According to a representative of Siemens, the new metro model is designed to meet the growing demand for public transport, amidst London facing a number of challenges to ensure the mobility of passengers. The urban population is becoming more crowded.
