Ginseng blooms after 8 years of immersion in wine bottles

Mr. Yuan from Beijing discovered the ginseng tree soaked in a sealed wine bottle of the family blooming white flowers on January 3.

According to Xinhua, in Vien's wine bottle, there are two ginseng plants. One tree is 10cm longer, the largest is about two centimeters in diameter. From the root of this ginseng tree, the piece of roots grows about 5-6 small white flowers.

"Nearly 10 years ago, I bought a large dry ginseng tree with the size of a thumb wrapped in a newspaper in the northeast. When I first bought it, I still left it outside, two years later, it was soaked in 60 degrees in a big jar. " he said. He left the bottle in the corner, rarely touched.

"About a month ago, while I was cleaning, I pulled it out, found white blooms. It was very rare , " he said with a smile. He brought the story to ask Chinese medicine doctors near his home but no one could explain it.

According to Zhao Weiwei, director of the Beijing Botanical Garden, plants that are immersed in alcohol with a high alcohol content cannot survive. However, the ginseng plant of Vien's house is blooming, perhaps due to the dry outer shell that protects the organization inside.

Accordingly, the wine was absorbed into the outer layer of ginseng, but it was not absorbed. Due to long-term immersion, the alcohol content in alcohol decreases with a favorable environment, enabling conditions for ginseng to bloom.

"Plants in harsh environments still bloom pistils as a kind of survival, a natural reaction," Zhao said, confirming that Vien's ginseng plants were blooming.
