Google acquired the advertising agency in the game
Google over the weekend announced the acquisition of advertising agency in Adscape Media but refused to disclose the amount of financing it had to pay for the deal.
In fact, the information about Google wanting to buy Adscape has continuously appeared on the newspaper since January last.
In a notice posted on its official website, Google said the in-game ad has huge potential. "As more and more people play and spend more time on games, the chances for advertisers to get bigger".
Therefore, analysts believe that the money Google spends on Adscape acquisition will quickly be revoked.
Yankee Group said the advertising market in the game will boom strongly in the near future. The market-wide value will increase by 5 times compared to the 2006 figure and reach a turnover of 732 million USD in 2010.
And perhaps Google will integrate its existing advertising platforms into Adscape's in-game advertising service.
Google is not the first name to pay attention to in-game advertising market. Last May, Microsoft bought Massive in-game advertising for $ 200 million.
