Google extends the Google News news site

Like many other news agencies, AP has been very dissatisfied with the way Google News integrates content, news headlines, as well as photos of news outlets into the previous Google news site. Subsequently, the AP reminded Google of the license to provide information, and that Google had not received the consent of the AP.

Even the Agence France Presse (AFP), one of the sources Google has included in the Google News news site, has taken a drastic step than suing the company for a compensation of $ 17.5 million. AFP said it never agreed to let Google link or display posts or photos on Google News pages.

The initial agreement with AP helps Google have the right to cite this news agency's sources and photos on the Google News website.

Although it has not yet been announced which AP articles will be used, Google may provide a similar service to rival Yahoo! News, which will display articles in a full range from various sources, including AP and Reuters. Currently, Google only links to the original source instead of displaying full Google News content.
