Google Internet coverage by balloon
Recently, the Sri Lankan government has partnered with Google to implement a macro plan. It is covering the entire Internet country with a hot air balloon.
Internet distribution by balloon
According to the news on Iflscience, the Sri Lankan government announced a plan to cooperate with Google this week to distribute the Internet across the country with a hot air balloon . Up to the present time, American companies are the first to develop and work with hot air balloons capable of high-speed Internet transmission throughout the country.
Cooperation with Sri Lanka will provide the perfect beta test for hot air balloons, especially with the country's current Internet conditions. Sri Lanka is home to more than 22 million people. But the country does not have a good connection speed when there are only about 2.8 million mobile internet connections and 606,000 wired connections.
Hot air balloon distribution is Google's big project
It is known that Project Loon is a project published by Google in mid-June, involving the use of wind-powered air balloons to provide Internet access to two-thirds of the population. and especially useful for people in remote and remote areas.
Collaborating with Google in this project are Raven Aerostar aviation designers, representative of international balloon Project Loon, Nighthawk. The Nighthawk operates through the use of long-term antennas. They can send data to mobile phones using existing 4G networks and transmit information between balloon flights and ground stations. Google claims these balloons will fly in the air for 100 days before descending to the ground.
