Google Talk has contacted some other IM services

Yesterday, Google announced it officially opened its instant messaging program to all IM systems using the XMPP protocol. As a result, users can communicate with friends of Earthlink, Gizmo, Tiscali, Chikka, MediaRing .

Any other IM provider can adjust the parameters to freely connect to Google Talk without prior agreement with Google. The search services group intends to use the SIP protocol, the advanced Internet telephony support technology today.

" We feel very pleased and hope to take a step forward in the strategy of making IM and VoIP popular with email ," said Mike Jazayeri, Google Talk Product Manager.

Google introduced Google Talk in August but did not really create a fever because the program was quite sketchy. However, observers predict Google has many "exclusive" cards and will launch in the near future in order to defeat Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger and AIM of America Online.
