Hackers exploit new Windows vulnerabilities images 1 Security experts on December 28 warned of the emergence of code that exploits an unpatched vulnerability in the Windows operating system.

According to reviews, the vulnerability is serious, affecting how Windows handles Windows Metafile image files (WMF) - which has been patched three times by Microsoft over the past two years. The latest fix for this vulnerability is MS05-053, issued in November 2005.
