He searched for Wi-Fi safety standards
The UK Health Protection Agency (HPA) is preparing to conduct a study on the impact of Wi-Fi wireless networks on public health with the expectation that the results will provide peace of mind for those Users of this network access service.
According to the HPA notice released on October 12, the agency will work with experts to conduct a systematic study of the status of how wireless networks are being used. The purpose of this scientific work is to establish a low average radiation safety level issued by Wi-Fi access points.
Radiation safety standards are required for Wi-Fi users.
HPA director, female professor Pat Troop said in the draft plan, so far there is no scientific evidence to prove that Wi-Fi or wireless local area network has adverse effects on the health of the people.
Signals used on Wi-Fi networks have very low energy and are within the limits allowed by the International Commission for Non-Ionizing Radiation (ICNIRP).
However, Ms Troop revealed, some small-scale research to understand the average exposure of individuals within the Wi-Fi network has been completed. All help to find a boundary for this level of exposure. This is a follow-up to HPA's own recommendations and the British Health Adviser makes it a point for children to limit their mobile use if not needed.
Wi-Fi networks are a central issue of the UK mass media after some teachers expressed concern about the impact on students' health. In August, the Professional Teachers Association suggested that while Wi-Fi network safety standards have not been established, the introduction of WiFi into schools is like using students as test subjects.
