In the afternoon of September 22, 2010, in Hanoi, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on Technical Cooperation between the Directorate for Standards and Quality (Resettlement) and the Institute of Palestinian Standards (PSI) was held.

Activities of standardization, measurement and conformity assessment play an increasingly important role in promoting import and export and facilitating trade. The objective of this activity has been generalized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) with the slogan: ' A standard, an experiment, a certification and is recognized everywhere '.

Technical cooperation memorandum between resettlement and PSI is the result of working, exchanging and discussing between relevant agencies of both parties.

Mr. Ngo Quy Viet - General Director of the resettlement organization emphasized: This agreement will raise the level and enhance mutual understanding among experts operating in the field of standardization, measurement and conformity assessment of Vietnam and Palestine; promote trade facilitation between the two countries, simplify and save costs for testing, measuring, recognizing and certifying activities, supporting import and export activities, facilitating businesses The two countries developed cooperative relations.

Collaborative activities include: the two parties work together in the area of ​​standardization at the regional and international levels; study organizational structure, processes and procedures for assessing each other's suitability; exchange information, scientific data, books, magazines, articles . in the field of standardization, measurement and conformity assessment; exchange national standards, technical regulations and relevant legal documents on specific areas to facilitate commercial transactions between the two countries; exchange information on each other national measurement standards and measuring instruments; exchange information about laboratories; .

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Van Phong emphasized that Vietnam and Palestine not only limited cooperation in the field of Standards, Metrology and Quality, in the coming time to the cooperative relations. This work will also expand in many areas of science and technology to apply the socio-economic development of each country.
