Helmet helps to see through the airplane
British company BAE Systems has introduced a new helmet called Striker for fighter pilots. The helmet is connected to cameras mounted outside the fuselage to allow pilots to see through the fuselage.
Striker helmets can help pilots look through the aircraft
The system is also fitted with sensors that can identify the pilots' eyes and provide the main image according to the pilot's perspective.
"If a pilot wearing a Striker helmet, he can see everything under the surface just by turning his head to the direction he wants to observe and press the button. The system provides an image of the object the pilot wants to observe , "said Alan Jowett of BAE Systems.
Peter Robbie, vice president of commercial development at the European Space Agency and defense firm EADS, said: "This technology can even provide a weapon such as an unmanned aerial vehicle.
'The pilot can provide information on the target for a drone from what he observed through the Striker helmet. Then, the pilot can order a rocket launch and observe the target strike through this helmet , "said Peter Robbie.
BAE Systems has revealed that it is developing a 3D audio system that allows pilots to hear the information around them.
