Results of a study by scientists at Stony Brook University in New York (USA) has announced that it has reaffirmed that some Chinese-made herbs are widely used in Taiwan territory containing aristolochic acid (AA) - one of the most powerful carcinogenic toxins present in some medicinal plants.

The study was based on 151 patients with urinary tract cancer, of which 60% showed worse mutations when patients took AA-containing herbs.

Earlier studies also showed that more than one-third of Taiwan's territorial population used herbs containing AA and the proportion of people suffering from kidney cancer and urinary tract cancer in the world was the highest in the world, 4 times Times compared to Western countries less used herbs.
