Chronic venous insufficiency currently has a very high incidence of disease, especially in those who have a habit or occupation that has to stand for a long time, travel a lot, pregnant women, multiple births, obesity, and people with constipation chronic.

The disease can lead to quite serious complications such as shallow varicose veins or deep vein thrombosis that cause bleeding, fatal phlebitis or obstruction of the pulmonary arteries and, in particular, reduces the quality of life.

Under normal physiological conditions, blood from the venous system circulates from the legs to the heart in the direction from bottom to top, backwards in the direction of gravity. When these valve systems are damaged, weakened, in addition to the above physiological blood flow, the veins in the vein will appear in the opposite direction, called the reflux line. It is this flow of reflux that causes symptoms of varicose veins such as pain, severe, fatigue, cramps, edema .

Doctors treat patients with venous insufficiency of lower limbs with high frequency waves.

There are many methods in the world to eliminate reflux blood flow. One of the latest applications of modern medicine is the use of high frequency waves, or radio frequency ablation (RFA) . This is a method of thermal tissue destruction caused by the friction of the ions in the tissue under the action of alternating current with a frequency within the sound wave range (200 - 1.200MHz).

The electric current from the machine is transmitted into the body tissue through a needle electrode (the needle electrode) , the radio wave stream is transmitted into the needle and generates heat. Heat due to friction drying surrounding tissue leads to loss of water in the cell and necrosis of the tissue to be destroyed.

RFA aims to eliminate reflux blood flow in large veins, usually done for patients with varicose veins 2 or above according to the CEAP classification . Patients with varicose veins have had active medical treatment with drugs and have pressure (over) socks for more than 1 month but have not relieved symptoms or do not improve clinical severity, ultrasound has reflux lines in the static system The circuit can also be treated with RFA.

The advantage of RFA over previous methods is the high success rate, less pain, less bruising, can be discharged during the day, highly aesthetic (only with a single 0.3cm incision), little ears variables and complications. Patients can walk quietly, return to daily activities for 12 hours immediately after the procedure. Exercise and sports will return to normal after 1 week.
