High Tech Hats of the US Navy
The US Navy is developing a high-tech helmet for scuba diving. The equipment is capable of providing underwater divers much better visibility than conventional helmets.
According to Tech Insider, the new system is called Diver Augmented Vision Display (DAVD ) . It includes a transparent display that is attached directly to the diver's helmet.
DAVD is a booster system that covers the vision of a diver.
Like Google Glass, DAVD is a booster system that covers the vision of a diver with real-time information. For example, the system can display charts, pictures, text messages and even videos.
It also allows the location of divers and dive sites to be displayed on the screen. This is especially useful when divers operating in cloudy waters are easily lost or disorientated.
This system was created to provide the same ability to dive as the Iron Man.
According to a press release from the US Navy, the system was created to provide the ability to dive similar to Iron Man.
"By attaching a face-to-face (HUD) monitor directly inside a helmet instead of an external monitor, HUD can provide It's similar to what you see in Iron Man. You can see all you need right inside this high-tech diving helmet. "
According to the US Navy, DAVD HUD is very useful for underwater construction, rescue and repair of ships.
DAVD HUD is very useful for underwater construction.
The US Navy plans to begin underwater simulations in October and some other tests in 2017.
