High-tech farm of China: Production of 10 tons / day, only need 4 employees
A Chinese company has just announced an improved version of the "smart farm" , which allows cultivation of more vegetables without the need for soil or natural light.
Currently being used in many parts of the world, controlled greenhouse farming is being improved by Sanan Sino-Science , a technology company in Fujian, China.
China's largest agricultural greenhouse, can supply vegetables for 36,000 people
According to MailOnline, last Friday, Sanan Sino-Science announced its expansion project with an in-house farm developed over the past two years.
This farm has an indoor space of up to 5000m2, producing 8-10 tons of vegetables per day but only needs 4 management staff. In order to produce the same amount of vegetables by traditional farming methods, about 300 farmers are needed.
With modern equipment and technology, the vegetables here are cultivated by hydroponic method in strictly controlled environment.
Intelligent farming methods include systems for regulating temperature, water, moisture, nutrients and LED lamps to replace sunlight. The application of these technologies allows Sanan Sino-Science to thoroughly save water and energy for farming.
Sanan Sino-Science's first generation indoor farm is said to be the largest vertical farming complex in the world.

"Compared to our previous smart farms, the new combination offers greater efficiency, while further reducing costs and labor," said Zhan Zhuo, CEO of Sanan Sino-Science.
"The new farm maximizes the plant's growth potential while maintaining a sustainable and continuous growth cycle."
While the farm vegetables normally need about 40-60 days to harvest, not to mention the adverse weather . Sanan Sino-Science's "vegetable plant" allows harvesting small varieties in just 18 days, larger sizes need 33-35 days.
"This farming method is particularly beneficial in challenging environments such as deserts, slopes or expensive cities , " Zhan said.
In addition, the CEO of Sanan Sino-Science stated that the smart farm can produce 3000 - 3500 tons of vegetables per year if it is operated at maximum capacity.

Sanan Sino-Science is planning to improve the process by integrating AI data analysis through sensors, optimizing output for each specific vegetable.
Currently, the output of Sanan Sino-Science is supermarket chains and high-class restaurants in Fujian and Shanghai, with prices of about 30-36 yuan / kg (VND 105,000 - 125,000). Much more expensive than traditional vegetables cultivated, about 2.85 yuan / kg (about 10,000 VND).
Not only China, Sanan Sino-Science is sharing this farming technology with the US, Singapore and Japan.
