The US technology giant confirmed the existence of the Ara project , an attempt to build 'cricket' lines that could allow users to easily upgrade their machines. To do this, parts of the machine inside and out are designed like Lego blocks, according to Time magazine.

This is an initial project developed by Motorola's Advanced Technologies and Projects team, retained by Google to continue to grow after handing over to Lenovo for nearly $ 3 billion in January. The prototype device will be completed within a few weeks, and 'block' phones are expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2015.

Ara projects include a fixed frame, provided by Google, and customers can then assemble parts of other developers.
