The Plant Protection Institute has imported two non-harsh crunchy pink varieties from Japan, Fuyu and Jiro. These are high quality pink varieties, suitable for soil conditions, native rootstocks and ecological conditions in the northern mountainous provinces of Vietnam.

Dr. Le Duc Khanh said that Fuyu and Jiro roses are very popular in many countries with temperate and subtropical climates. Through surveys and assessments, it is very valuable, very brittle persimmon varieties, which are eaten fresh or used as raw materials for export of dried persimmons, which are very popular in the world.

Scientists collected and grafted the local red rose varieties with non-acrid pink varieties at 6 different altitudes of Moc Chau - Son La (1000 meters), Bac Ha - Lao Cai district (950 meters), Mai Son - Son La (700 meters), Da Bac - Hoa Binh district (500 meters), Cao Phong district - Hoa Binh (350 meters), Luc Ngan district - Bac Giang (150 meters).

Results of monitoring growth and development of scion wood in 2010 showed that both varieties Fuyu and Jiro grow and develop well, good branching ability.

Currently, these two varieties of pink are being cultivated or grafted by many localities to replace local red roses.

Jiro varieties are harvested in the middle of August and early September, Fuyu varieties ripen 10 to 15 days earlier, big fruits (200-300g / fruit), beautiful designs, square or slightly flattened fruits, ripe red fruits. , yellow-orange intestine, outstanding fruit quality compared to local acrid rose varieties, hard, fragrant, fragrant, hard-to-eat meat, easy to transport. The price of crispy persimmon sold at the garden ranges from 20,000 to 30,000 VND / kg, while the local price of pink acacia is only VND 3,000 / kg.
