The Burmese python, 4.3 meters long, with 73 eggs in the belly, was caught by a Florida hunter.

"The problem is the rate of reproduction of Burmese pythons. A large python that is 73 eggs will contribute to the number of animals that explode. Therefore, we need to catch as many pythons as possible, because of them. Harming all native animals and losing the food source of predators , " Crum said.

South Florida's governing body pays hunters $ 8.1 an hour, along with $ 40 for each 1.2 meter long python and an additional $ 25 for pythons longer than 1.2 meters. In May, Crum attracted a lot of attention when using his hand to catch a python longer than 5 meters.

Researchers estimate that 30,000 to 300,000 pythons are invading southern Florida and the number of pythons continues to increase. This invasive animal threatens American pandas, rabbits, birds and even crocodiles. An average female lays between 20 and 50 eggs, each spawning two years apart and can live for 20 years or more.
