How awesome is the US electromagnetic pulse?

For years, the US military has developed new generation weapons and has now made some impressive strides. According to the Russian news agency, the latest achievement for the US military is that electromagnetic pulse weapons can collapse electrical networks and electronic devices without harming them.

EMP stands for electromagnetic pulse , which can exist in nature, when electromagnetic energy explodes in a short period of time can cause overload and collapse of the electrical strength.

Electromagnetic pulse - abbreviated in English as EMP - is a direct-energy weapon based on the application of electromagnetic radiation. This weapon is designed to destroy facilities that use electricity and electronics at a certain target. Most of today's devices use electricity.

US electromagnetic pulse weapons have tremendous power.

Most electrical and electronic equipment such as computers, radios, refrigerators, cars, telephones ... will be disabled if affected by EMP bombs. The structure of the electric pulse weapon consists of a cylindrical body made of reinforced steel (also called core). Inside this core is filled with explosives. The outer coils are metal coils. A set of capacitors is connected to the windings to generate electricity through the core.

The operational principle of the EMP bombs is that when it detonates, it creates a very large electromagnetic field that blocks and physically destroys electronic devices within the scope of operation.

Microwaves are also used to cause impacts on biological subjects. Low power EMP pulses are used in anti-riots. When in operation, low energy microwave beams will cause itching to dislodge the crowd.

High-energy microwave weapons have shown enormous levels of destruction. Microwaves are transmitted at the speed of light that will easily short circuit and 'bake up' the electronic chips, as well as the circuitry inside the computer or communication devices.

Electronic systems are the 'eyes and ears' of modern weapons systems. When these systems are disabled, the weapon's combat power is disabled. Non-electric weapons, such as machine guns and anti-tank guns, can still operate, but combat effectiveness will be impaired as target indicators do not work.
