According to Ayurveda (a traditional Hindu Hindu medical system), you should use hot water to cleanse your body and cold water for the head because hot water is harmful to the eyes and hair.

Hot or cold water baths can treat various diseases. Patients with liver disease, indigestion . should take a cold shower. People with respiratory disorders, colds, coughs, joint pain, diabetes . should choose hot water. Bathing depends on the temperature of the body . A person with a high temperature should bathe with water at a temperature lower than their body and vice versa.

How to shower according to Ayurveda

  • Bathe from your hands and feet to your head : Start by washing your forefront and then moving upwards. You should shower slowly so that all parts of your body are exposed to water and properly cleaned.
  • Soap : Avoid chemicals containing soap on the market. You can soak neem leaves in India for a while, then bathe with this water to improve your health and skin.
  • Massage : Massage your body with mustard oil or sesame oil before bathing to help restore skin and muscles.
  • Do not take too long a bath : You should not be in a hurry, but you should not take a bath for too long. For better hygiene, you can take a bath twice a day.

The benefits of hot and cold shower

Hot showers cleanse the body and maintain better personal hygiene. Hot steam helps to clear the airway, reduces colds, improves sleep. Soak in hot water to relax muscles, reduce sugar in the body, help diabetics. Many studies show that diabetic patients' sugar levels drop by 13% when they soak in a hot tub for about 30 minutes in three weeks.

Cold water stimulates the nerves, helping you to become sleepy and refreshed in the morning. Cold water baths promote the production of anti-infection cells, increase immunity and treat depression. Many studies show that cold water stimulates release of testosterone, increased sexual desire, and improved reproductive health in men. When you take a cold shower, you tend to hold your breath and slowly breathe out, your lung function will improve with this habit.
