How to take photos when watching videos using Windows Media Player

There are many beautiful images in the videos that you want to capture to collect archives, but miserably when using the Print or Alt + Print keys to capture them, the image is not visible. Perhaps you will think of using a more specific imaging software, but such software is sometimes hard to find, difficult to use and may not be free.

Instead of being 'busy' looking for such software, you wouldn't expect that just editing Windows Media Player (WMP) is a bit of a snap. How to do this is as follows:

- Start WMP, click Tools menu, select Options . Next, select the Performance tab ( 1 ) and then click the Advanced button ( 2 ) in the Video acceleration frame.

- In the Video Acceleration Settings dialog box, uncheck the Use overlays check box ( 3 ) (in the Video Acceleration frame) and click OK to close the dialog boxes.

- Finally, you open the video file with the picture you want to capture, when you get to the scene you want, then use one of the two normal shooting keys above to capture them. Then, you open an image editing program (Paint or Photoshop for example), paste the images you just took and save them as an image file to store.
