Hydropower challenges the environment

From the above lesson, Mr. Hai said that with 82 hydroelectric dams in the Mekong sub-region and 179 other dams in the planning stages are the major challenges of regional leaders to economic development, people's livelihood, environmental protection and precious natural resources.
Currently, Quang Nam is planning to ask the Government to issue regulations on benefit sharing from hydropower revenue. At the same time, investors' responsibility for the local economic development is responsible and responsible for the affected area.
In the face of increasing climate change, the natural function of rivers plays an important role in minimizing the effects of natural disasters on people and ecosystems.
It is known that Quang Nam has two river basins: Vu Gia - Thu Bon accounting for 90% and other river basins accounting for 10%. Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin ranks fourth in the potential of hydropower development in Vietnam.
