Iceland turned off the capital lights to witness the spectacle

In the evening of September 28, Iceland turned off the light of the entire capital of Reykjavik within an hour so that the world could have a chance to fully appreciate the beauty of Borealis aurora. The whole city is turned off the lights from 22 to 23h on September 28 to help people see the most amazing natural phenomena.

Turning off lights can cause some disadvantages, predicting the situation so the Reykjavik city government has urged road users to be cautious.

Borealis Aurora phenomenon also known as Northern Light . The light of aurora is generated by the interaction between solar particles and the Earth's atmosphere.

People in high latitudes can witness this amazing phenomenon at night, the bands of light are mainly blue, purple, pink, white, constantly moving.
