The team also identifies the cause of fish attacks, including some of the main causes. The first is related to stocking of lobster and juvenile fish and net cage to attract the fish species to live and feed near shore, increasing the probability of fish encountering the swimmer.

Secondly, some shark attacks coincide with the time of El Nino, causing heavy rain and turbid water, increasing the probability of sharks mistaking people for their prey. In addition, a number of attacks may involve behavior on shore to breed, especially with white striped sharks, their breeding season is June to September each year.

According to statistics, only from July 2009 to June 2010, there were dozens of people bitten by fishermen in Quy Nhon waters. The sea area is bitten by fish in a narrow area, in the beautiful coastline, many people swim in the sea, with a length of only about 1,000m. Victims are often bitten on the calves, feet, hands and biceps.

In Quy Nhon, fishermen also occasionally catch sharks and shark (a shark-like fish). Recently, on May 27, the provincial fisherman caught a shark about 2 meters long, weighing about 80kg.
