According to Dr. Vo Si Tuan, Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography, Quy Nhon Bay, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh is a diverse species of intershark shark (11 species), great white shark and white striped shark. Particularly white striped sharks, the time spent near the coast of Quy Nhon is recorded as a population of many different sizes and also pregnant fish.

Some countries such as the US, South Africa, Thailand and the Philippines have benefited from the use of shark and shark as a target for developing eco-tourism and adventure services. Activities mainly include setting up museums of sharks, snorkeling and shark fishing, recreational fishing.

However, from 2009-2010, in Quy Nhon sea area, about 10 sharks came near the shore to attack the swimmers. Binh Dinh Province has proposed a study on this issue by the Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography.

According to the explanation of the group implementing the topic, the phenomenon of fish attacks people in Quy Nhon sea area due to the combination of many factors such as Quy Nhon bay with deep sea currents; The development of many types of fish scrub, lobster scrub, net cage (Thai ball), artificial reef . close to the beach has created conditions for the environment, prey for sharks to near the shore to live.

The period of time when sharks are constantly attacking people coincides with the time of El Nino. Maybe the weather has changed the behavior of sharks, making them more aggressive.

The research team has also come up with a number of solutions to increase the ability to prevent sharks from attacking the swimmers in the short term, focusing on communication solutions to raise public awareness; reduce the number of fish rubs, rub shrimp, net cages . too near the shore to minimize the possibility of sharks attacking the swimmers.
