Identify dinosaur colors

A group of British and Chinese scientists claimed they had identified the true color of a dinosaur.

Using electron microscopy, they identified the cell structure of pigment in the fossil tail feathers of a small dinosaur living in the Early Cretaceous about 125 million years ago.

Accordingly, this carnivorous dinosaur is reddish-brown in color and the tail has orange-white stripes. Scientists have studied dinosaur fossils found in Liaoning province (China) where people discovered bipedal dinosaurs are likely the ancestors of birds.

'We think that dinosaur feathers appear as color rendering agents, and later they evolved to serve the purpose of heat and flight,' British paleontologist Mike Benton said.
