In January, Intel reduced the price of Pentium 4
Chinese PC makers said Intel will cut prices of Pentium 4 processor chips in January 2007.
This source of information once again confirms the plan to reduce the price of product lines announced by Intel in September this year. This is also part of a plan to pave the way for the launch of a series of new products.
Accordingly, the line of Pentium 4 microprocessor chips will enjoy discounts from 7.3% to 60.7%. In particular, Pentium 4 6xx product line has the highest discount.
Besides, Intel will also reduce the price of Pentium D product lines to pave the way for the launch of Pentium D 934 3.2GHz early next year. The price of Pentium D 925 and 915 will be about USD 113 and USD 93 - equivalent to a 15% and 17.7% reduction.
The Celeron product line also enjoys a discount of about 14.5%.
According to Intel's product development roadmap, early next year global users will see the launch of Pentium E1040 chip - Pentium processor chip manufactured on the Core 2 Duo architecture platform.
