Intel vPRO platform brings the digital office revolution

Picture 1 of Intel vPRO platform brings the digital office revolution In the framework of the CWE 2006 conference held last afternoon (July 11), Intel's Asia-Pacific marketing manager, Jonathan ong, presented the vPRO, a new technology platform that the company gave that will create a "revolution" in the digital office.

Intel vPRO is said to be a revolutionary change in security, ease of use and energy savings. The security and management features of vPRO will be integrated into Intel mobile platform next year. These features include the second generation Dynamic Management Technology (AMT) - integrated into the new chip set platform, virtualization technology (VT) - integrated into the dual-core processor.

AMT technology will help IT managers to monitor and repair computers remotely when the system is cut off or has problems due to an operating system error or hard drive. The second AMT version has the ability to isolate the computer from a virus infection before it affects other computers on the network, and then issue a warning to the administrator.

Meanwhile, Intel VT technology enables the separation of the hardware environment into separate zones (partitions), whereby administrators can perform multiple operations on individual areas without affecting each other. In particular, it also allows to maintain activities independently, offline and completely separate from users (not administrators).

According to Mr. Jonathan ong, in addition to improving security and energy saving, the vPRO platform is also a solution to save budget, especially for small businesses with tight IT budgets, and help make use of Maximum resources available.

Despite being a new platform, vPRO has also focused on a large number of support companies such as Adobe, Altiris, Avocent, Check Point, Cisco, Computer Associates, Hitachi JP1, HP OpenView, LANDesk, Lenovo, Lockdown Networks , Microsoft, Novell, Panorama SW, SAP, Skype, StarSoftComm, SyAM Software, Symantec and Zenith. These companies are and will be releasing products that take advantage of the superior features of Intel vPRO.

Starting now, Intel has deployed a wide range of vPRO platforms with the majority of its business customers. Intel vPro technology will be part of the 'Intel Stable Image Platform' program - an initiative that provides predictable changes and is committed to Intel's drivers & software will be provided and kept for 15 months from the date of product introduction.
