International Conference

Yesterday morning (August 28), the International Conference " Research on biology and rodent management " with the participation of representatives of 30 countries took place in Hanoi. The conference was jointly organized by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Agency - Australia - the Australian Center for International Agricultural Research, the Australian Development Assistance Organization and the Plant Protection Institute - MARD.

In Indonesia, about 200,000 ha of young rice and young rice are broken every year; In Vietnam, in 1998 rats damaged about 500 thousand hectares of colored rice, this year it is estimated that the loss is over 100 thousand hectares. That is not to mention the many treasures of food and foodstuff damaged by rats.

In many countries, people have applied general measures such as using smoked cigars in the cave of rats, using plastic bags containing food with rat poison, using traps, clamps, using plastic pipes to lure mice into. . has brought remarkable results.

At the Conference, the experiences of the countries will be synthesized and researched, built into a system, and at the same time find appropriate solutions more effective in rodent control to help farmers reduce losses in manufacturing.
